It would be nice to get this resolved. The issue occurs during boot from the cd, and no matter what I do I get a medium error with error messages exactly as those draimus listed. I had the same issue until I burned another ISO image. The CD from the first install, doesn't work anymore, too >.
In brasero didn't appear the method of burning so waht type uses to burn a ISO or any type of file? I recommend running the FAT32 formatting option on your USB if you don't have any persistent data you'd like to keep on your USB stick.
